Auto-reconnect casting apps
My biggest headache with screen-mirroring apps is having to reconnect everything from scratch every time I turn the TV on. At home it’s not a big deal, but when I’m helping my niece with her school projects, it gets annoying because she expects it to “just work.” I’d love to find something that remembers the TV and reconnects automatically, without me digging through menus or re-scanning devices. Has anyone found an app that actually does that reliably?

I had the same problem at my brother’s place because we switch between two TVs all the time. What helped was using Mirror iPhone presentations to TV after the first setup, it usually reconnects on its own as long as both devices are on the same network. I didn’t expect it to be that consistent, but it’s been pretty smooth, especially when I’m bouncing between rooms or helping my nephew watch his cartoons without redoing the pairing every single time.
