Making My Bedroom Shades Smart on a Budget
Hello. My bedroom has simple roller blinds. I want to open them automatically in the morning with my phone or voice. But I don’t have much money for new smart shades. Is there a cheap way to add motor to the old ones? Do retrofit kits really work or do they break fast? Any recommendations? Thank you.

You can definitely do it cheaply and reliably with a retrofit kit. Look at the Revolve Motorized Roller Shade Retrofit Kit. It’s made to upgrade existing shades without replacing them.
